Starting Wicks of Honor wasn’t just about making candles—it was about creating a sense of belonging, healing, and connection for veterans and their families after service. As a veteran myself, I understand firsthand the challenge of transitioning back to civilian life and the deep longing to carry forward the camaraderie and stories shared during military service.
My husband and I launched this small business right from our kitchen, hand-pouring every candle ourselves. He’s currently navigating his own transition out of the military, and together we dreamed of a way to honor the sacrifices, memories, and resilience of service members through something personal and meaningful: scent.
Our candles, like Deployment Dust and DD-214, capture moments and emotions unique to military life. These aren’t just candles—they’re stories, reminders, and gifts that speak directly to the veteran experience. Whether you’re looking for the perfect retirement gift, a thoughtful care package for someone deployed, or a way to show support for your wingman or spouse, Wicks of Honor candles create connection through scent.
Sadly, we know the reality behind the numbers: over 17 veterans die by suicide every day in the U.S. This crisis hits home, and as part of our mission, we commit 10% of proceeds to Stop Soldier Suicide, helping provide resources for those who need it most.
Wicks of Honor is more than a candle brand. It’s a community. A tribute. A light in the darkness. From our kitchen to your home, we hope these candles bring warmth, comfort, and a reminder—you’re never alone.
Thank you for supporting this journey with us.
